Preparing for the Swimming Gala, by Aria and April

children swimmingWe interviewd Mr Griffin (Year 6 teacher) who is also in charge of forming the Barnes Primary swim team.

Mr Griffin wants children to swim because swimming is a very good sport for your fitness it builds up your strength and stamina. Mr Griffin likes swimming but he isn’t very fast because he doesn’t practice enough.  He doesn’t coach the swimming club himself, he organizes it all and gets a qualified swimming coach to train the team.

The swimming team did very well last year. Almost everyone qualified for the finals and our girls’ team were joint winners in the Richmond Swimming Gala.
