A trip to Neasden Temple, By Florence and Donalda

Neasden Temple

Neasden Temple

In year 5, we have been  learning about India and finding information about the gods they worship. The Neasden Temple, based near Wembley,  took two and a half years to build in London, but in India it would have took 10 years to build something similar. Neasdon is a Hindu temple.

When we went there we got the chance to listen to a Hindu ceremony. Whilst I was listening I looked around and I was amazed at the carvings on the pillars. When I looked closer I could see how much detail had gone into their creation. It took over 1,500 craftsman to build the pieces of the temple that were shipped to London and constructed into the temple from the help of 1,000 volunteers.
